TPVs are dynamically vulcanized blends of EPDM rubber finely dispersed in a PE/PP matrix, delivering rubber-like elasticity with the processing convenience of thermoplastics.
This compound maintains its shape and bounce with low compression set, flex fatigue resistance, and stable performance from −40 °C to +120 °C. It also resists oils, chemicals, and weather—it stands up to long-term use.
TPV pellets can be processed by injection molding, extrusion, blow molding, and co-injection, offering much faster cycle times than traditional rubber—without curing.
Available in varied hardness levels (approx. Shore A 35 to Shore D 50), colors, and adhesion-ready grades (peelable or overmold-compatible with PP, PBT, PA).
TPV is fully recyclable. Production scrap and runners can be reintroduced into the process with minimal property loss, supporting circular manufacturing.
| Challenge | TPV Compound Benefits |
|---|---|
| Need for rubber-like elasticity | Offers true flexibility through EPDM phase in plastic base |
| Slow rubber processing cycle times | Thermoplastic-like molding speeds up production |
| Durable, outdoor-exposed parts | Resists weather, heat, oils, compression, and fatigue |
| Difficult to overmold or bond | Available in adhesion-optimized grades for PP compatibility |
| Sustainability targets | Recyclable, reducing waste across production environments |
With our TPV Compound, you achieve a perfect balance of flexibility, durability, and efficient manufacturing—all in a pellet that plays well with your existing equipment.
